Boise and East Wenatchee police served a search warrant at Williamson-Smith’s home and reportedly found more than $14,000-worth of stolen products, including razors, fishing line, diet pills and allergy medication, according to Boise police. Police began investigating in November after reports of a suspect stealing large amounts of health and beauty products from grocery stores in the Boise area. Williamson-Smith was reportedly connected to burglaries dating back to June 2018.
In December of 2018 and January of 2019, retailers once again noticed the suspect stealing items from their stores but his identity remained unknown,” Boise police stated. “In most cases, the suspect was only in the store for a matter of minutes.” Boise police later found an eBay account selling many of the stolen items. Police used the eBay account to link the East Wenatchee man to the burglaries.
“Williamson-Smith was then identified as the same suspect seen on camera stealing items from local retailers,” Boise police stated. An arrest warrant was issued and Williamson-Smith arrested Jan. 13. Williamson-Smith is reportedly linked to more than 30 retail store burglaries. [Source: Fiber One]
