Today, the National Retail Federation (NRF) is convening a group of twenty loss prevention professionals from a dozen leading retail brands in Washington, D.C., to advocate for the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act of 2025 (S.1404/H.R.2853).
NRF has been a vocal proponent of the legislation, which would align efforts through a new Organized Retail and Supply Chain Crime Coordination Center to ensure that resources and information sharing are available across government and private-sector partners. With nearly ninety bipartisan cosponsors to date, momentum behind the legislation continues to build.
The group will meet with twenty-five congressional offices across both the House and Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees to share firsthand experiences and urge Congress to pass this much-needed legislation.
