Alaina Kring

Alaina Kring, CPhT, Senior Director of Loss Prevention Field Operations & Investigations at Gabes.

Alaina is a demonstrated leader and achiever with extensive knowledge of criminal and financial investigations, drug diversion matters, and methods for proactively eliminating risks of company assets in the areas of safety, security, profitability, and resiliency. She holds a diverse background in loss prevention, working with Gabes, Ulta Beauty, Ross Stores, and Walgreens in addition to formerly working as a Special Agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Alaina also actively participates as a member of the Loss Prevention Research Council ORC Leadership Group, The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Steering Committee, and the Coalition of Law Enforcement and Retail (CLEAR).

Marty Andrews

Marty Andrews, CFI, Vice President Loss Prevention at VF Corporation at VF Corporation.

Marty leads LP in North America across 800+ VF retail locations to include Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Kipling, icebreaker, Dickies and Altra. With progressive advancement in both big box and specialty retail sectors, he fully understands that knowing the business from top to bottom is a key foundation to a successful program. Marty has been with VF Corp since 2007 when he started as a regional LP manager for Vans. Prior to that he was at Nordstrom for 8 years holding various roles such as internal investigator, LP manager and regional investigations manager, as well as previously working for Macy’s and Lamonts.

Sarah Torrez

Sarah Torrez CFI, LPC, Regional Director – Community Engagement Asset Protection at 99 Cents Only Stores.

Sarah is an experienced director of loss prevention with a demonstrated history of success working in the retail, food, and drug store industries. With a diverse background which includes 99 Cents Only Stores, Spark Group, Charming Shoppes, The Limited, and Smart & Final, she has strong operational skills, she is excellent at building partnerships, building LP programs, managing budgets, and skilled at project management. Sarah also serves as a member of The Loss Prevention Foundation Advisory Council.

Joe Box

Joe Box, MBA, CFE, Vice President, Asset Protection and Safety at the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM).

Joe is responsible for global initiatives aimed to continuously improve the ability to protect total assets of all business lines across the NEXCOM Enterprise. He is a member of the Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) and annually attends major events to keep up with best business practices while networking with industry leaders at the Retail Leader’s Association (RILA) Asset Protection Council, National Retail Federation (NRF), Merchant Advisory Group (MAG), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Merchant Risk Council (MRC), and Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) including the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE). Joe serves as the Vice Chair on the ASIS Retail Asset Protection, ACFE Advisory Council, and is an Executive Champion to NEXCOM CEO’s Council on Diversity.
