Vic Jacinto

Vic Jacinto is currently the U.S. Safety & Security Manager for IKEA. He has been working in the retail loss prevention industry since 1991 and has been at IKEA for the past 24 years. Prior to IKEA, he worked in loss prevention for Neiman Marcus and Macy’s and worked in sales and support positions at other retailers. His responsibilities at IKEA include all things related to occupational and workplace safety or physical security and his team supports the company’s U.S. operations in their efforts to reduce risk as part of the business risk and compliance team.

Meredith Plaxco

Meredith Plaxco is the vice president of global asset protection and safety at PetSmart, and chair of RILA’s Asset Protection Leaders Council. She also serves on the board of directors for the Loss Prevention Foundation and One Community Arizona. With over 24 years at PetSmart, her experience spans several departments in leadership roles in operations, corporate PR/communications, and asset protection and safety. Her education and experience outside of PetSmart includes a background in finance, corporate PR and communications, retail and veterinary operations management, mergers and acquisitions, workplace health & safety and asset protection.

Kevin Darnell

Kevin Darnell is currently the director of business development at Hanwha Vision America. Before joining Hanwha, Kevin spent over 30 years in the retail industry, leading loss prevention, asset revenue management, and retail operations for some of the nation’s top retailers including Lowe’s, Michaels, Kmart, Bass Pro Shops, Dollar General, RadioShack, and Caleres (Famous Footwear). Kevin’s expertise extends beyond security, overseeing executive protection, investigations, audits, safety, compliance, and managed capital investments. He has delivered keynotes at major security and retail events, been featured in multiple publications, and produced and hosted a podcast with listeners in over 40 countries
