Video: Inept Burglar Hit by Stolen, ‘Flying’ ATM

Chicago police are searching for thieves who stole an ATM machine from a Far South Side restaurant, but one of the bandits got more than they bargained for.

The incident took place at RJ Fish and Chicken in the 1900 block of East 95th Street in the city’s South Deering neighborhood. Surveillance video shows the thieves attaching straps to the ATM machine inside the store, and when the vehicle takes off, the thief is struck in the leg by the flying cash machine.

Despite the instant karma the thief experienced, the store is still dealing with the tough aftermath as the front of the store was badly damaged by the brazen thieves. “When I first came, everything was destroyed,” employee… NBC5 Chicago
