Suspect Admits to Posing as Loss Prevention to ‘Pat Down’ 14-Year-Old Girl

In California, Bakersfield Police said that a homeless man posed as a loss prevention officer at Target on Ming Avenue to pat down a 14-year-old girl.

According to officials, the victim claimed that on September 17, Steven Waldo told her and her sister that he was an undercover loss prevention officer and that he had observed them stealing. Waldo then allegedly escorted the two girls to the restroom where he questioned them about the alleged theft.

The girl told cops that her sister lifted up her shirt to show cops that they were not in possession of any stolen merchandise. The victim told police Waldo then proceeded to pat her down “over the clothing, on her rib-cage and inner thighs.” Police said Waldo admitted to patting down the victim… 23ABC News
