Shoplift Suspect Threatened to Shoot; then Pistol-Whips Bystander

Police in Gwinnett County have arrested a man they say shoplifted over $1,500 in merchandise at a Georgia Home Depot and threatened shoppers with a gun.

Officials say on September 5th, 37-year-old Antonio Tyrone McClure stole the merchandise at the Home Depot, and when bystanders tried to intervene, police say he pointed a firearm at them, going so far as to allegedly striking one bystander in the head with the gun.

An investigation led police to identify the suspect as McClure and on Wednesday morning, officers took McClure into custody. He’s been transported to the Gwinnett County Jail, where he’s being held with no bond.   [Source: Fox5 Atlanta]
