RILA’s LINK2022 Will Feature Conversations with US Port Execs

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA)’s annual conference for retail supply chain executives—LINK2022: The Retail Supply Chain Conference—will feature a panel discussion with leaders of key US ports. Executives from the Port of Long Beach, Northwest Seaport Alliance (Seattle-Tacoma), and Virginia Ports Authority will share insights into how ports are managing today’s heightened demand and preparing for the future.

“Disruption has been the name of the supply chain game for the last few years now, but this is an opportune moment for retailers and port executives to have a frank dialogue about the future of the nation’s supply chain,” said RILA Vice President of Supply Chain Jess Dankert. “Consumer demand is strong and still growing; that represents a challenge but also a huge opportunity for retailers. This session is a great chance for retailers to hear directly from the ports, ask questions, and learn how they can best prepare to meet the evolving needs of the consumer in the years ahead.”

The session, Navigating Disruption: A Conversation with Port Leaders, will feature Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero, Northwest Seaport Alliance Chief Operations Officer Tom Bellerud, and Virginia Ports Authority CEO Stephen Edwards.

The port leaders will also engage in small group meetings with retailers for candid discussion and feedback about supply chain challenges.

“We’re thankful to have these leading port executives join us at LINK,” Dankert said. “After the last two years, this conversation can be another step toward shaping a better future for retailers and our partners at the nation’s largest ports.”

RILA’s LINK2022: The Retail Supply Chain Conference will take place February 20-23 in Dallas, Texas.
