Pair Accused of Shoplifting with Teen in Tow Had $2.3K Worth of Stolen Items

A pair of New York women are accused of stealing $2,300 worth of over-the-counter medications from three Lehigh Valley pharmacies while a 15-year-old boy was in their care.

Elana Bancroft Phillips, 21, and Tiffany Keiasha Bowe, 31, both of Brooklyn, face charges in the crime this past Thursday. Phillips and Bowe each are charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, one count of theft, and one count of corruption of minors. Bowe faces an additional theft count and a count of possessing an instrument of crime.

Colonial Regional police were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. to a theft in progress at the CVS along Sterner’s Way in Hanover Township, Northampton County. A manager reported to police seeing the women and a male teen place allergy medications from the sales racks into a gray Duffel bag. The trio then left the store in a silver Nissan SUV with New York plates, the manager told police. The manager described a woman, later identified as Bowe, as the person who allegedly carried the bag out of the store without paying for the items…   Lehigh Valley Live
