CAP Index announced the appointment of Dr. Grant Drawve as the leader of its newly established Research and Innovation Division. Dr. Drawve brings over a decade of expertise in the field of public safety and security, having worked closely with agencies, organizations, and corporations to decipher the crucial role of location in shaping security outcomes.
Before joining CAP Index, Dr. Drawve held the position of associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Arkansas and served as the associate director of the Crime and Security Data Analytics Lab. Among his many industry and professional affiliations, he is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Crime & Justice, part of the Publication Committee of the American Society of Criminology, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Criminal Justice.
Drawve received his doctorate in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice, a nationally recognized leader in the study of crime and place. He is co-author/author of over forty-five peer-reviewed publications, studies, and journal articles.
