The loss prevention community took over Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday to kick off a busy week of valuable content, powerful networking, and professional growth for loss prevention professionals as part of NRF Protect 2022. This year’s conference returns in full force to address retail’s ever-changing threats, teaming to review the latest strategies, discussing the industry’s top priorities, and meeting with loss prevention’s top solution providers and subject matter experts to learn more about the latest innovations to help combat retail shrink, retail crime, and other industry concerns.
Following Tuesday morning’s LP Council Meeting, conference events featured a Retail Cybersecurity Forum including a keynote discussion with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Additional sessions included presentations on building stronger connections between technology business and the boardroom, understanding the risks posed across the retail supply chain, the latest on cyber threats, and the best ways to convert data into value by leveraging the latest technologies.
“While a good time was had by all, these events offer tremendous opportunities to support the loss prevention industry in so many ways,” said Terry Sullivan, LPC, president of the Loss Prevention Foundation. “We’re extremely grateful for the generosity of all those in attendance as well as our amazing sponsors who make events like this possible. We are very fortunate to have their commitment to the entire loss prevention community.”
To officially end Day 1 of NRF Protect, attendees gathered at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in the evening to check out one of Cleveland’s greatest attractions. Voyage, a Journey cover band, welcomed the crowd with live music outside of the venue, along with food and beverages. Inside, attendees were welcome to walk through the museum’s many exhibits, filled with generations of music and memorabilia.
Tomorrow, events will continue from the Huntington Convention Center with a full schedule of sessions and more from the Exposition Hall.
