Arrest Report Gives New Details of Fatal Shootings in Grocery Store

Police have identified the suspect accused of killing two people at a Kroger location near Louisville. Gregory Alan Bush, 51, is charged with two counts of murder and multiple counts of wanton endangerment.

According to his arrest citation, Bush went into the back of the Kroger on Taylorsville Road Wednesday and shot a man in the back of the head. The report says he continued shooting the man after the victim was on the ground. Police said Bush then walked to the parking lot and shot a woman several times. She died at the scene.

Bush then exchanged gunfire with an “armed citizen” before leaving the scene. He was later arrested nearby. The arrest citation doesn’t point to a motive for the shooting. On Wednesday, police said both killings may have been the result of a random attack. Bush will be arraigned today.
