ALTO’s Alliance solution is a finalist in two separate industry awards programs to be announced in the next few weeks. The Alliance program combines innovative technology, law enforcement and prosecution partnership, and deterrence marketing to minimize retail theft and deter repeat offenders.
“ALTO is thrilled to be a finalist for these two prestigious awards,” said Karl Langhorst, CPP, CFI, executive vice president for ALTO US. “As an innovation company that prides itself on providing technology solutions that integrate and analyze diverse data streams into easy to understand, actionable intelligence that provides the foundation for informed decision making, this recognition validates our strategy to improve operational efficiencies and reduce retail theft that we have developed for retailers.”
(R)Tech Innovation Awards
The first is the 2018 (R)Tech Asset Protection Innovation Awards sponsored by the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA). These awards showcase game-changing technologies that mitigate total retail loss and recognize visionary companies that are developing these solutions.
Finalists were identified by a group of asset protection technology experts. The winners, including first, second and third place, and retailers’ choice, will be announced live from the main stage at the 2018 Retail Asset Protection Conference, April 29-May 2 in Orlando, FL.
“Like asset protection executives, solution providers are looking for ways to be relevant in today’s retail environment and influence how the industry solves its most pressing problems. Innovation inspires progress,” said Lisa LaBruno, RILA’s senior vice president of retail operations. “The Innovation Awards are a chance for retailers to single out cutting-edge technology and recognize those companies spurring innovation for the benefit of the retail AP industry. We look forward to showcasing these technologies in Orlando.”
North American Fraud Awards
The second awards program is the North American Fraud Awards 2018. The Alliance program is on the shortlist for Best Newcomer, which recognizes a new vendor or solution launched in the past two years. Alliance is also finalist in the Best Collaborative Solution category that awards crime prevention partnerships between retailers and local law enforcement to combat community crime.
Additionally, ALTO’s Chief Supply Chain Security Officer, Maurizio Scrofani, CCSP, LPC, is one of three finalists in the Rising Star Award category, which recognizes the success of an outstanding individual who has made a positive contribution to the bottom line performance and overall loss prevention landscape in their company. Scrofani leads the ALTO Assurance team that has developed an innovative supply-chain risk management technology platform that minimizes loss and maximizes operations throughout the retail supply chain.
Results of the North American Fraud Awards will be announced at a gala dinner May 17, 2018, at The Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX, following the Retail Risk conference. The Retail Risk event and awards program are sponsored by Retail Knowledge, a global events management company focusing on the retail risk and loss prevention industry.
