Two Shoplifters Found in Stolen Car Go to Jail

A 31-year-old Westerville, Ohio resident and a 46-year-old Columbus resident were arrested for robbery and receiving stolen property after stealing $1,018.13 worth of merchandise at 9:06 PM October 7 from a store on the 100 block of Polaris Parkway.

Loss prevention associates in Ohio reported finding the Westerville resident stealing items in the store. He proceeded to threaten them after being asked to go into the back, according to reports. The Westerville resident fled and got into a car driven by the Columbus resident and they were found near Meridian Way by police, according to the report. The car was registered as having been stolen out of the Columbus, according to the report. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle along with an open container of alcohol.
