Ramos drove a gray Hyundai Santa Fe and remained inside the vehicle, while Ruano, who was armed with a silver revolver, and Cotne, who was armed with a machete, entered the gas station retail area, allegedly approached the Shell employee by going behind the counter and demanded money from the register. The suspects took about $133 from the employee and the register, the Sheriff’s Department said. All three suspects fled the scene in the gray Hyundai.
