Three Charged with Stealing Items Worth $6K after Wild Chase

Three people are facing multiple burglary and felony theft charges after allegedly taking about $6,000 worth of merchandise from the Kohl’s store in Elmhurst (Illinois) February 15.

Victor Williams, 30, of the 2600 block of East 77th Street, Chicago; Joshlyn Allen, 19, of the 7600 block of South Yates Boulevard, Chicago; and Emiaya Shannon, 22, of the 500 block of 77th Avenue, Merrillville, Ind., reportedly entered the store at 303 S. Route 83 at 5:18 PM put the merchandise including Nike and Adidas clothing in Kohl’s shopping bags and fled.

The trio eluded Elmhurst police who tried to stop their car in the Kohl’s parking lot, police said. Following a high-speed chase which included use of a helicopter and a collision with a Chicago Police Department squad car, they were taken into custody in Chicago, according to a news release from the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.
