Suspect to Trial for Allegedly Lying to Authorities Following QSR Shooting

Jamie Gilmore was ordered held for trial in US District Court in Erie on a charge of lying to an FBI agent about the whereabouts of Markese Lampley, 20, of Erie in connection with the Wendy’s robbery case.

Lampley is accused by Pennsylvania State Police of shooting Alexander Cavanah, 22, a shift manager at the Wendy’s, during an armed holdup of the restaurant Saturday afternoon. Lampley is being held in the Erie County Prison without bond on homicide and other charges filed by Pennsylvania State Police for Cavanah’s death. A preliminary hearing in Lampley’s homicide case is scheduled for February 7.
