Police in Maryland say an armed store worker has fatally shot a man suspected of shoplifting.
Seat Pleasant police Chief Devan Martin tells news outlets that officers responded to a shooting Wednesday afternoon at a Discount Mart and found a wounded man lying on the ground. He says the man was taken to a hospital and later died.
Martin says the man and a store worker got into an altercation and the employee shot the man. He says the employee was legally able to have the gun. Authorities haven’t released the identity of worker or slain man. Martin says an investigation is ongoing. [Source: New York Post]
