Shoplifting Suspect Convinces Police to Take Him to Jail

Typically, most suspects try to talk their way out of being taken to jail. This suspect talked police into it.

Officers were called to a (Ohio) Walmart on Warrensville Center Road after security workers in the store detained a man accused of shoplifting. The suspect had tube socks and other items stuffed in his pants, according to police.

The suspect refused to identify himself to officers, police say. That’s when he first asked to be taken to jail, but police told him the jail was under renovation and the value of the items he reportedly took didn’t merit being locked up.
