Turning Point Justice has announced that Vice President of Retail Strategy Paul Jones, LPC, has been named chief operating officer (COO). “Paul is a seasoned and trusted leader with a laser-focus on operational excellence,” said Lohra Miller, chief executive officer. “Paul’s leadership experience, coupled with his strategic thinking and proven ability to deliver results makes him the right person to execute TPJ’s strategic priorities and drive sustainable growth.”

Jones’s premier project will be to facilitate the adoption and expansion of the Crime Accountability Partnership (CAP) program, a joint product of TPJ and the National Association for Shoplifting Prevention (NASP). “The program has already proven to reduce workloads for both retail and criminal justice professionals while improving retailer restitution collections and improving offender accountability,” said Jones. “I look forward to working with TPJ and NASP’s outstanding teams to expand this program so we begin to see a real impact in reducing retail theft across the country.”

“I am excited to have Paul play this important role in the evolution of our joint product,” said Caroline Kochman, executive director of NASP. “His wealth of experience in building consensus between retail and criminal justice professionals will be a valuable asset as we continue to accelerate the growth of the Crime Accountability Partnership program.”

Digital Partners

For more than two decades, Jones has built an impressive track record of strategic and operational accomplishments. Before joining TPJ last year, Jones was executive director for global asset protection at eBay, where he developed strategies for the collaboration between eBay’s e-commerce auction site, brick-and-mortar retailers and hundreds of local, state and federal criminal justice agencies to identify and eliminate fraudulent transactions. This experience has positioned Jones well to understand both the criminal justice and loss prevention professions as he continues his work to align their interests and find collaborative solutions to the endemic problem of retail theft.

Jones is the current vice chairman of the Loss Prevention Foundation, a member of the Loss Prevention Magazine Editorial Board and his successful efforts have been featured on ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox News and in Harvard Business Review.
