One in Custody in $180K ORC Jewelry Heist; Police Seek Two Others

Lancaster police are investigating an organized theft ring accused of stealing more than $180,000 worth of jewelry during a New Year’s Day heist at the Park City Center.

Police said one of the men involved is in custody, but they are still looking for the people who worked with him. Duanne Pierce, 56, of Philadelphia, and two others went into the Kay Jewelers store on January 1, police said.

While Pierce’s accomplices distracted the workers, police said, he entered an employee-only area and stole layaway items. Pierce also took a key and used it to access the Leo Diamond case, according to police. Police said the items taken were worth $187,529.62… WGAL8 News
