The Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) announced the selection of its newest board member to assist in governing and providing strategic direction for the Foundation at its recent board meeting. A board member resignation was also announced, as well as board member re-elections.
Elected to the Board of Directors was:
- Paul Jaeckle, LPC, vice president of asset protection with Meijer Stores (shown)
“We are very excited to have Paul on the Loss Prevention Foundation Board. We welcome his leadership and diverse retail background to assist in the Foundation’s mission of education,” said Terry Sullivan, LPC, president of LPF. “Paul has shown his commitment to improving the loss prevention/asset protection industry through supporting education and currently holds his Loss Prevention Certification (LPC).”
“The Loss Prevention Foundation Board is comprised of many great leaders in the industry. We welcome Paul as a dynamic thought leader which will continue to grow our Board with his skill set,” said Frank Johns, LPC, chairman of The Loss Prevention Foundation. “With the goal of education and certifying Loss Prevention executives through the LPC and LPQ certification programs, the Foundation strives to help elevate the Loss Prevention professional as a leader in the retail industry. By expanding our Board with leaders like Paul we will gain more diverse thought to achieve that goal.”
Each new board member must demonstrate their support for industry-specific loss prevention certification and are personally committed to obtaining the LPC designation. They must have a passion for improving our professional perception as an industry and feel professional certification is a critical step in achieving that goal.
The Board also accepted the resignation of the following board member:
- Jeff Levitt, LPC, senior manager, loss prevention at Panera Bread
Levitt will be taking on the role as Chairman of ASIS Retail Loss Prevention Council beginning January 1, 2018.
