Learn How to Leverage PROACT to Strengthen Your Investigations

Join the LPF’s “Leveraging PROACT to Strengthen your Investigations” webinar on September 26 at 1 p.m. ET to learn how the eBay Global Asset Protection Team (GAPT) collaborates with retailers and law enforcement to apprehend and prosecute criminals who use the platform for ill gain. During the webinar, we will review eBay’s PROACT program, as well as its purpose, benefits, and limitations. We will also teach the best practices on how to utilize eBay and some advanced search techniques.

The Partnering with Retailers Offensively Against Crime and Theft (PROACT) team was created in 2007 to collaborate with both retailers and law enforcement agencies to identify and remove sellers of stolen goods from eBay and support criminal prosecution against those sellers. The PROACT team has enlisted over 300 retailers to join the PROACT program and provide the team with leads on potentially harmful sellers.

The PROACT program features, among other benefits:

  • A way to report evidence of theft to eBay for investigation.
  • A dedicated email address to facilitate quick communication with eBay about retail theft investigations.
