Joe McAvoy has been named director of corporate loss prevention with Charlotte-based Belk Department Stores. McAvoy is a former divisional vice president of loss prevention & safety for The Bon-Ton Stores who has also held leadership roles with Macy’s as well as Saks Fifth Avenue. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Baltimore.
