Erik Buttlar has been promoted to vice president of asset protection at Best Buy. Buttlar began his career with Best Buy since 1990, serving as a store manager and regional media manager before becoming a director supporting merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention in northern California and the Pacific Northwest. In 2007, he was promoted to senior director of asset protection, a position he held up to his most recent promotion to vice president of asset protection.
Buttlar is a strong supporter of the loss prevention/asset protection community and currently serves on the editorial board for LP Magazine.
