eBay’s GAP Team Assists Retailer with Store Manager’s Arrest

Kevin Abney, a store manager employed by Bed Bath & Beyond, allegedly ran a two-year scheme in which he purchased used and broken items from various sources and  later returned them to the retailer he worked for and exchanged it for brand new, in-box product. The scheme netted him approximately $82k, which he then converted into cash by selling the new product on eBay.
