Eagle-Eyed ID Theft Victim Leads to Arrest of Fast-Food Worker

A purloined pizza led to the arrest of a fast-food employee on identity theft charges in Millbrook, Alabama. Priandra Thomas, 29, of Wetumpka, has been charged with identity theft after the victim noticed an unauthorized purchase after buying food from the McDonald’s at 3755 Highway 14 at about 9:30 AM on August 8.

According to Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson, the McDonald’s employee allegedly used the victim’s credit card information to buy the pizza the same day at about 10:30 AM at the city’s Pizza Hut. A review of the restaurant’s security camera footage allegedly showed Thomas going through the drive-through line and picking up the order, Johnson said.
