Armed Citizen Kills Shooter Who Opened Fire in Restaurant

A gunman opened fire inside an Oklahoma City restaurant, leading to a bystander shooting him dead in the parking lot. Oklahoma City Police said the gunman, who walked into Louie’s Grill & Bar on the east side of Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, wounded at least four people including mother Natalie Giles and her 12-year-old daughter, Syniah Giles.

An Oklahoma City Police tweet reads: “A man walked into the Louie’s restaurant and opened fire with a gun. Two people were shot. One person has been taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A bystander with a pistol confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him. The shooter was the only person who died in the incident. His identity was not confirmed as of Friday morning and his motive was unknown. The incident is under investigation. The shooter’s motive is unknown and his identity is not yet confirmed.
