Veteran loss prevention executive Allan Watters was named senior vice president of asset protection at Houston-based specialty retailer Stage Stores. Watters leaves his position as SVP of asset protection/business assessment and control at The Sports Authority.
Watters began his loss prevention career with Canadian retailer T. Eaton Company in 1990 as a unit LP manager. He moved to The Sports Authority in 1995 as an area LP manager. Watters held numerous management positions in asset protection, audit, distribution, and LP operations before ultimately being promoted to SVP in 2012.
Watters is a member of the board of directors for the Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) where he is the former chair of the LPF scholarship committee, which offers scholarships to loss prevention professionals in need of financial assistance for the LPQualified or LPCertified courseware.
