Three people are accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from stores in Wheaton and Elmhurst and then crashing into a Chicago police car while trying to escape.
Victor Williams, 30, of the 2600 block of East 77th Street in Chicago, is charged with felony burglary, retail theft and fleeing and eluding police. Bail was set Monday at $350,000.
Joshlyn Allen, 19, of the 7600 block of South Yates Boulevard, Chicago, is charged with felony burglary and retail theft. Bail was set at $50,000.
Emiaya Shannon, 22, of the 500 block of West 77th Avenue in Merrillville, Indiana, is charged with felony burglary and retail theft. Bail was set at $50,000.
Prosecutors also have asked that Shannon’s probation on a November 2018 retail theft case out of Naperville, and a December 2018 retail theft case out of Willowbrook, be revoked. In the Willowbrook case, she was charged with stealing more than $4,600 of items, including perfume, from an Ulta store. In Naperville, she was charged with stealing items from an Ulta store.
