Video: Violent Theft of ATM; Elderly Good Samaritan Assaulted

A Seguin, Texas, man was assaulted by three men as he tried to stop them from stealing an ATM at a Love’s Travel Stop Sunday morning. The theft happened at about 3:20 AM in the 3100 block of Interstate 10 east, according to police.

The Seguin Police Department released video surveillance from inside the store that showed several men walk in carrying a heavy chain. The thieves attached the chain to the ATM as an elderly man at the front counter and a younger man who police said may have been a Love’s employee tried to intervene.

Officer Tanya Brown said after the chain was attached to the ATM, the thieves used a pickup truck and pulled the machine onto its side, damaging the front door. When the thieves came back inside the store for the ATM, the elderly man confronted the three men and was punched in… MySanAntonio
