The Fontana Police Department assisted in the pursuit of the suspects, and one of the suspects was arrested in front of the Fontana Police Station. The suspects were identified as Luis Cotne, a 21-year-old Riverside resident; Kyle Ruano, a 20-year-old Riverside resident; and Arielle Ramos, an 18-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident.

Ramos drove a gray Hyundai Santa Fe and remained inside the vehicle, while Ruano, who was armed with a silver revolver, and Cotne, who was armed with a machete, entered the gas station retail area, allegedly approached the Shell employee by going behind the counter and demanded money from the register. The suspects took about $133 from the employee and the register, the Sheriff’s Department said. All three suspects fled the scene in the gray Hyundai.
