Authorities with the California Highway Patrol’s Organized Retail Theft Task Force announced the recovery of more than $200,000 worth of stolen merchandise and the arrest of 10 suspects in connection with a retail theft fencing operation.

1 Shoplifter Dead, Another Injured After Incident at O’Reilly Auto Parts
A homicide investigation is underway at an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store in Kansas City, Kansas. Two men entered the store and began to shoplift before a fight broke out between them and store employees, resulting in one of the shoplifters being killed.

Seattle Smoke Shop Damaged in 7th Smash-and-Grab Burglary
A West Seattle smoke shop is damaged yet again after burglars crashed a car into its storefront at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday. This is the seventh smash-and-grab burglary at the store, with the last one happening just the morning before.

Over $1M in Counterfeit Merch Headed to Oklahoma Seized in Chicago
Nearly $1 million in counterfeit merchandise headed for Oklahoma was intercepted in Chicago this week by the US Customs and Border Patrol. The shipment from Thailand contained 67 pieces of counterfeit designer watches, bracelets, handbags, and scarves.

Atlanta Police Looking for Man Who Threatened Store Employees with Gun
A thief walked into an Atlanta store and began filling bags with items from the shelves when he was approached by employees. He then brandished a firearm and said “I’m giving you one last warning” before fleeing.

3 Suspects Sought in Houston Jewelry Store Robbery
Two unknown males walked into a Houston jewelry store, inquired about jewelry, then walked out. A short while later, at least one of those men along with two additional suspects ran into the store, jumped over the counter, and began removing several pieces of jewelry from display cases.
