Suspected Credit Card Thief Hit by Car While Making Getaway

A man who used a stolen credit card at a Fred Meyer store was struck by a car during his getaway and was arrested when he went to the hospital for treatment, police say. The incident unfolded Saturday night when police say the 28-year-old suspect and a woman were prowling cars around houses near the intersection of Highway 395 and West 10th Avenue in Kennewick (Washington).

The couple stole credit cards from a car, police say, and the victim noticed charges on the credit card from the Kennewick Fred Meyer and Walmart stores. The victim then checked their home security camera and found footage of the man and woman taking the card from the car, according to Kennewick police.
