Shoplifting Suspect Accused of Stealing $10K Worth of Jeans

A man accused of stealing more than $10,000 worth of jeans from Old Navy stores was arrested by police last week.

According to court papers, Hector Perales and a woman are suspected of stealing jeans from Old Navy stores over the course of several months, often taking stacks of jeans at a time. Investigators say the total value of the all the jeans taken is more than $10,000.

Investigators believe Perales and the woman repeatedly stole from an Old Navy store in Selma, but they are also suspected of hitting stores in San Antonio and New Braunfels. An arrest affidavit states that investigators connected Perales to the crimes by using license plate information and surveillance video.
