Police Looking for Man Accused of Assaulting LP Associates

Edgewater (Colorado) police are looking for a suspected shoplifter accused of assaulting employees at a Target. According to a release from the Edgewater Police Department (EPD), the man walked into the Target at West 20th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard on the afternoon of March 23 and was confronted by a loss prevention officer for shoplifting.

The man then stole the loss prevention officer’s cell phone, the release said, and tried to walk out with it. Police said store employees met the suspect at the exit, and as he approached the door, he threw the phone on the ground and assaulted multiple employees before taking off on foot. The man is wanted for three felony assaults, theft, and criminal mischief, according to the release.

The suspect is described as African-American, about 30 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, with a dollar sign tattoo under one eye and an unknown tattoo under his other eye, as well as unknown neck tattoos.
