    Garrett, I appreciated your article. One thing you did not delve into enough I believe is visual security. According to most LP professionals I have talked to, a visual, physical barrier reduces the chance of break in by a very high percentage. Roll down security shutters have proven to stop burglaries. They are visual and physical barriers when they need to be and stay out of sight when they are not being used.

    They are being used by Wal Mart, Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite Aid and many others to protect their pharmacies. Used by Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Best Buy, Ross Stores and many others for storefront security with great success.
