USS Reveals New F-117 Nighthawk Protection for Designer Eyewear

USS recently revealed its latest product development in eyewear protection, the F-117 Nighthawk Eyewear Tag.

While there are eyewear-specific electronic article surveillance (EAS) products on the market, what makes USS’ new F-117 Eyewear Tag unique are its stylish, lightweight design and robust anti-theft features, including a patented mechanism that tightens the tag’s grip in the event that an improper removal is attempted.

The tag is result of nearly 10 years of trials and development, which involved thorough testing in partnership with a global eyewear manufacturer and retailer. The end product is a sleek but sturdy adjustable tag that reportedly fits eyewear frames of almost any shape and size without causing any damage to the product.

“A standout feature that resulted from the decade of research and development that went into creating this product, is one of the tag’s most critical differentiators from similar EAS protection; the fact that it’s a one-piece solution that doesn’t require a separate tool to lock and unlock it,” said USS Founder and CEO Adel Sayegh. “With those time-saving and ease-of-use features in mind, the F-117 Nighthawk is projected to increase our clientele’s throughput by upwards of 80 percent.”

“Designer eyewear and sunglasses have historically been, and will continue to be highly targeted items for organized retail crime (ORC),” said USS Chief Operating Officer Claude Verville, a 35-year retail loss prevention executive veteran. “Finally, there is a solution that offers unparalleled defense against theft, without sacrificing stores’ look, feel and atmosphere.”

Additionally, according to Verville, the F-117 Nighthawk’s added benefits of ease of use and return on investment factors reportedly make an appropriate solution to appease all facets of an eyewear retailer’s operation.

“The F-117 Nighthawk utilizes simple slide and lock technology that is easy for associates to apply and remove,” said Verville. “The increased throughput combined with shrink reduction, saves retailers time and man-hour costs, plus its ergonomic design is sure to please merchandisers, associates and customers alike.”.

Verville went on to describe how the F-117 Nighthawk’s compatibility with all USS magnetic detachers also saves clients the costly fees associated with overhauling EAS equipment to accommodate new technology.
