Loss Prevention Research Council to Host the IMPACT 2016 Conference Next Week

Keeping pace with a busy week in loss prevention to end the month of September, the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) will welcome October in full stride with LPRC’s 2016 IMPACT Conference.

Devised to help retailers and their solutions partners better develop and employ high-impact, real-world crime and loss control measures to increase safety and profitability, the objectives of IMPACT 2016 are housed in a two-day program aimed to help participants better understand how they can use research approaches to help reduce crime and loss, and increase sales. Each session is designed to provide value, education and participation.

IMPACT 2016 consists of presentations, panel discussions and learning labs. Shifting from the format of past years where yearly research results were presented on the main IMPACT stage as one long, lecture-style presentation, this year’s learning labs will focus heavily on:

  • Interactivity: Each learning lab will occur in a smaller room and will include interactive app and stage content that will engage the audience in its own unique format.
  • Variety: Attendees can choose any three labs to attend, creating a custom learning experience for each individual.
  • Brevity: Learning labs will be 25 minutes long, leaving participants feeling excited and ready to learn more rather than fatigued.

Learning Lab #1: Olay Regenerist Fixture: A Case Study in Research and Collaboration Driven Solution Design

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to work in teams to apply the research approaches to current loss issues with the help of expert facilitators. Each team will make a short presentation to demonstrate the research designs they developed.

The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Florida October 3rd-October 5th 2016 at the J. Wayne Reitz Union 686 Museum Rd, Gainesville, FL 32611, for additional information telephone 352-392-1649 or visit www.lpresearch.org.
